The narrative could have taken off, many times, into one of many genres - scifi, mystery, romance, adventure, travel, spy thriller...all of the above...One of the best quotes from the recipe:

I may not be inspired to make a burrito at the moment, however, an adventurous trip to Belize sounds amazing!

its like i was talking with the cook lol ,it is a fun book to read with some nice recipes
Simple fresh ingredients with simple direct instruction. I am not a very good cook so i look for things i can understand like this.
Very good! Never thought about breakfast burrito with bananas ! But it's awesome! I will be trying some of the other recipes. I love how Frank uses fresh organic foods when he can.
This is a straightforward recipe book, written in a grandfatherly tone. The burritos I made turned out well (I did have some substitutions.) The author mentions his former father-in-law and daughter-in-law in negative ways, which seemed gratuitous to me. (Though these and a few other comments were also amusing, just a bit weird in a recipe book.)
One recipe is broken down in steps that are clear and concise. Ingredients are easy to obtain. There are several alcoholic drink recipes given at the end of the recipe that are quite interesting. A quick, easy lesson in making burritos.
The author carefully explains the steps for making an outstanding burrito and then goes into the practical steps of storing them for later. Then to top it off nicely, he includes several drink recipes with complete instructions, that go fantastic with burritos.Nicely done!
I loved this book - basically a personal account of how to make a fabulous homemade burrito. With lots of do's and don'ts, funny commentary, and guacamole and drink recipes, this is a fun and useful book on how to make a delicious dinner, store your leftovers and have a good chuckle all at the same time. Recommended!
